The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will try to nail down their first three-game winning streak since the summer of 2015 when they host the Saskatchewan Roughriders Friday night.

After the game, listen to The 5th Quarter on AM900 CHML, 900chml.com, or the Radioplayer Canada app.

The 2-8 Ticats have not lost since a 37-18 setback against the Ottawa Redblacks on Aug. 18 at Tim Hortons Field.  After a bye week, and wins over Toronto on Labour Day and Ottawa just five days later, the Cats find themselves in the playoff hunt in the weaker East Division.  All five teams in the West have more wins, and more points, than any team in the East so far this season.

That includes the 5-5 Riders who will go for a season sweep of Hamilton after a 37-20 victory over the Tiger-Cats in Week 2 at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.  However, Saskatchewan quarterback Kevin Glenn will be a game-time decision after suffering an injury to his throwing hand in last week’s Banjo Bowl loss in Winnipeg.

A win over the Riders would push the Ticats into a third place tie with Montreal in the East.  The Alouettes host the Redblacks on Sunday.
