A 35-year-old Canadian woman was bitten by a shark while swimming at Ormond Beach in Florida, according to multiple reports.
The woman was bitten on the calf just before 4 p.m. after she jumped off her surfboard and into the water, according to clickorlando.com.
The Canadian woman was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital, reports said.

She did not see the shark before the incident, Capt. Tamra Marris of Volusia County Beach Safety Ocean Rescue told WFTV-9.
There was no word on where the woman was from in Canada.
Ormond Beach, which is located in Volusia County, is on the northern border of Daytona Beach.
