A new poll shows the front-runner in Saskatoon’s mayoral race holding ground, while a new candidate has jumped into third place of the four candidates.
According to the Mainstreet/Postmedia poll, 29 per cent of those surveyed would vote for Don Atchison if the election were held today. Charlie Clark received 24 per cent, followed by 18 per cent for Kelley Moore and five per cent for Henry Dayday.

Twenty-two per cent of voters remain undecided.
“It’s important to remember that there is still a large pool of undecided voters. As we head into the final weeks of the mayoral campaign we expect there will be lots of movement in all directions,” David Valentin, executive vice-president of Mainstreet Research, said in a news release.
Support for Atchison remains unchanged from the Mainstreet/Postmedia poll conducted in late July. Clark’s support dipped by two percentage points, while Dayday’s dropped 10.
Kelley Moore hadn’t announced her candidacy at the time.
Eighty-two per cent of respondents said they plan to cast a ballot, but Valentin warned of people not being willing to admit they don’t plan to vote.
“Nevertheless, it does show a strong interest in this year’s civic election,” he said.

Mainstreet randomly surveyed 802 people by landline and cell phone on Sept. 13. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 3.46 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
The vote for the 2016 municipal election is on Oct. 26.
