TORONTO – Police have identified 23-year-old Reshane Hayles Wilson as a suspect in the targeted killing of Neeko Mitchell outside of an Etobicoke community centre.

Hayles Wilson is wanted for first degree murder and police warn that he should not be approached. They are asking that anyone with knowledge as to where the 23-year-old might be should contact police.

Mitchell was shot multiple times on the evening of Nov. 24, 2013 outside of the North Kipling Community Centre on Rowntree Road near Kipling and Finch Avenue in Rexdale.

He was there to watch his brother play basketball, police said.

Police said at a press conference a week after his death that he was shot with “high velocity ammunition” that went through his body.

“Considering there were a number of people standing in the immediate area of the shooting, we are very fortunate that no one else was shot,” Detective Sergeant Brian Borg said at the time.

Police are still investigating the shooting.
