Ontario’s associate chief medical officer of health Dr. Barbara Yaffe reported 447 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the provincial total to 540,130. The death toll in the province rose to 8,961 as four more deaths were recorded. Yaffe said that the seven-day COVID-19 case average was 503, down from 735 one week ago.
