Kelowna doctors proving telemedicine can slash patient travel time
It’s no secret that B.C. is large, in places sparsely populated and crisscrossed with highways that can be dangerous in the winter. This reality can make it difficult for people in more remote areas to see a specialist.
However, a group of Kelowna doctors is proving that doesn’t need to be the case. Their work, using telemedicine to see patients remotely, is the subject of a recently published paper highlighting the benefits of the technology.
