Senior who went missing from Coquitlam found: RCMP

RCMP in Coquitlam have confirmed that a senior who went missing last week has now been found.

The 69-year-old woman, who has dementia, had last been seen on Harper Road near Mitchell Street in Coquitlam shortly before 9 a.m. on July 10.

Police said Saturday she was safely located, examined by health services and returned to her family. .

“Coquitlam RCMP would like to thank all our policing and community partners, Coquitlam Search and Rescue, the media and the public for their assistance,” said Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Alexa Hodgins in a Saturday news release.

Police said their investigators are still piecing together a timeline of the week the woman went missing.

If anyone has information, they are asked to contact the detachment at 604-945-1550 and quote the file number 2023-18227.
