Investigators say in a news release that they’re hoping anyone who saw Janet Burton in the days prior to her death can come forward with information.

Police were asked to check in on the woman by a family member who hadn’t seen her since Thanksgiving weekend.

She was found at her residence in Auld’s Cove on Highway 104, near the Canso causeway.
