An Amber Alert has been cancelled after a three-year-old child last seen at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver was found near Calgary, police say.
“RCMP officers located the child and his mother earlier this morning,” VPD Const. Tania Visintin said in an email on Tuesday.

The alert had been issued around 11:20 p.m. on Monday night and was cancelled around 6:20 a.m. the next day. People in the Metro Vancouver area received an emergency alert via cellphone or radio or television broadcast.
The boy had been last seen at about midday on Monday at the hospital, police said, and had been receiving treatment for a medical condition. He was believed to be with his mother.
“The child is now receiving care and the suspect has been arrested,” Visintin said.
