SASKATOON – BHP Billiton went pink for the month of September to raise money for breast cancer research.
Workers and contractors in Saskatchewan and Toronto raised over $300,000 with the company’s third annual paint Saskatchewan pink event.

The event had employees donning pink costumes and participating in a number of fundraising activities.
“Paint Saskatchewan pink is an ideal way for all of us to come together and do something positive about breast cancer, which impacts so many Canadian families,” said Gord Graham, a deputy project director at BHP.

Each dollar raised at the events was matched by BHP Billiton.
Over $600,000 has been raised for breast cancer research since paint Saskatchewan pink started three years ago.
