Syrian President Bashar Assad has warned there will be retaliation against the U.S. for any military strike launched in response to a chemical weapons attack.

In an interview broadcast on CBS’s “This Morning,” Assad said: “You should expect everything.”

Meantime, American Secretary of State John Kerry issued a strong rebuttal Monday to Assad’s denial of the use of chemical weapons.

Kerry told a London news conference there is very compelling evidence to the contrary.
