A longtime Liberal cabinet minister is projected to win the riding of Vancouver South.
Harjit Sajjan, who has served as Minister of National Defence since 2015, received 49.4 per cent of the vote with 201 of 202 polls reporting, ahead of NDP candidate Sean McQuillan and Sukhbir Singh Gill of the Conservatives.
In 2015, Sajjan won with 48.8 per cent of the vote. In 2019, he was re-elected with 41.2 per cent.
