Gérard Deltell is the projected winner of the Louis-Saint-Laurent riding.
This is one of Quebec City’s six ridings, and not to be confused with the similarly named Saint-Laurent riding in Montreal.
This riding covers the northwest of the city, including the towns of L’Ancienne-Loretta and the Quebec City neighbourhoods of Val-Belair, Loretteville, Neufchatel and Lebourgneuf. The indigenous territory of Wendake is also covered in this riding.
A large portion of this riding is francophone, with 95 per cent of the population listing French as their mother tongue. Close to four per cent of this riding’s population consists of immigrants, with Columbia, France, and Morocco being some of the most common countries of origin.
Incumbent Conservative MP Gérard Deltell was re-elected here in 2019. In a race against Bloc Québécois candidate Jeanne-Paule Desgagnés, the Conservative MP was able to capture the seat with 44. 7 per cent of the vote.
Desgagnés collected 22.4 per cent of the vote, with the Liberals and NDP candidates coming in third and fourth place.

This riding was won by the Bloc Québécois when it was created in 2004. Conservative Josée Verner won in 2006 and 2008. The NDP held the riding during the orange wave of 2011.
