London, Ont., police investigating two stabbings in north London, one dead

London, Ont., police are investigating after a pair of stabbings reportedly took place Saturday morning.

Police confirmed a stabbing happened in the area of Richmond Street and Epworth Avenue around 9 a.m., as well as near University Crescent and Patricia Street around 9:20 a.m. on Saturday.

The victim in the first stabbing, a non-identified male, was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The second victim, also male was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said Saturday night that the victim of the Patricia Avenue stabbing has died from his injuries.

Police located and arrested an adult male suspect in the vicinity of Richmond Street and Epworth Avenue shortly after the stabbings occurred.

Police have not confirmed if the incidents are related, but both stabbings occurred within a short time period and within half a kilometre of one another.

Police say a weapons investigation is also ongoing in the area and they continue to investigate.
