Trafficking charges laid after North Battleford drug bust

NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – Police in North Battleford, Sask. have made a drug bust.

RCMP executed a search warrant Thursday night at a residence in the 1400-block of 11th Street.

Marijuana with an estimated street value of $2,300 was seized along with cash.

Jackie Night, 45, and Derek Moosomin, 34, have been charged with trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime.

Both have been released from custody and will make their first court appearance on Sept. 16.

Mounties say the bust is part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the city.
