TORONTO – Calling all the single ladies and gents who suffer from gluten intolerance, there is now a dating site tailored specifically to your needs.
That’s right: those who live a gluten-free lifestyle can now shop search for a gluten-free mate on GlutenfreeSingles.com.
According to the website, GlutenfreeSingles was created for users who have celiac disease, are gluten intolerant or choose to be gluten free for health reasons, saying that relationships last longer when partners have the same lifestyle needs.
“GlutenFreeSingles started when two health-conscious friends, one with celiac disease and the other gluten intolerance recognized the need for a gluten-free dating community that focused on singles with similar dietary needs,” reads the “About Us” section of the website.
And while a dating site for those trying to avoid wheat-eating partners may seem a little too picky, it’s not the only online dating site designed to create hyper-specific and sometimes strange matches.
Take TallFriends.com, for example.
Are you a person of above-average height looking for a partner who doesn’t need a step-stool to give you a smooch? Then this is the site for you.
TallFriends.com is designed to bring “tall-dating minded singles together.” But, the site doesn’t discriminate against those who weren’t as blessed in the height department – the site welcomes “tall admirers” as well.

Or, perhaps you are a farmer who finds it hard to meet other singles while tending to crops.
FarmersOnly.com is designed for those living in rural farming areas. According to its site, FarmersOnly.com has garnered over 100,000 members since launching five years ago.
City dwellers need not apply – the site’s motto is, “City folks just don’t get it.”
But say, perhaps, you acquired a feline companion along the road to finding love. You might want to log into Purrsonals.com, “Where all cat lovers meet and share their passion for cats.”
Purrsonals.com is a social network for those cat owners, geared towards bringing together couples who love their cats.
More of a foodie? There’s a dating website for you too – except you have to like things hot.
Hotsaucepassions.com is a dating website and social network for those who like hot sauce, chili oil, hot peppers and anything that burns the roof of your mouth.
“Why risk hearing ‘I don’t like spicy food’ on a first date, when you know that would be a deal breaker,” reads the site’s description.
Meeting new people can be hard when you are glued to your MacBook updating your iTunes library, or busy organizing the apps on your iPhone into perfectly managed folders.
One site, Cupidtino.com – lovingly named after Apple’s home base of Cupertino, California – wanted to make matches out of Apple nerds. Cupidtino was the first ever “Mac inspired” dating website, based on the belief that a fascination with all things Apple is reason enough for two people to fall in love.
The website even mimiced Apple.com’s layout and design. Sadly, it’s no longer active.
