Two people have been sent to hospital after a crash between a Halifax Transit bus and a waste management truck slowed traffic to a crawl in the municipality’s downtown core Wednesday morning.
Halifax Regional Police say the crash occurred on Barrington Street at approximately 9:40 a.m.
The vehicles were travelling in the same lane in the 1600 block of Barrington Street when the bus collided with the rear of the truck.

Two people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Halifax police say that at this time they don’t anticipate laying charges in relation to the crash.
Halifax Transit will launch an internal investigation.
