Man in 20s dead after being found with stab wound, Toronto police say

Toronto police say a man in his 20s is dead after he was found with a stab wound early Sunday.

Police said they were called to a laneway in the area of Ossington Avenue and Dundas Street around 3:30 a.m.

Officers said someone located the victim and called 911.

Emergency crews then found the injured man by himself and transported him to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition, officials said. He died in hospital.

Police said they are not currently releasing the victim’s identity as they work to notify his next of kin.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area around 3:30 a.m. or has information on the incident to contact investigators. A suspect description hasn’t been released.
