Feeding frenzy: Beyonce, Jay-Z take Blue Ivy for lunch

TORONTO — Music power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce created chaos in Toronto’s upscale Yorkville neighbourhood Wednesday afternoon simply by taking their baby daughter for lunch.

The hip-hop mogul and his pop star wife arrived at Cafe Nervosa on the corner of Yorkville Avenue and Bellair Street with 19-month-old Blue Ivy and several bodyguards.

The little girl, wearing a white dress and white sandals — and sporting a white flower in her hair — had a blue pacifier.

Beyonce, whose hair was tucked into a black hat, looked casual and comfortable as she lugged both a designer handbag and a large bag filled with baby supplies.

Jay-Z endured the city’s sticky summer heat in a buttoned-up shirt and black pants. He was the dutiful dad, carrying Blue Ivy out of the eatery and securing her in the back seat of a waiting SUV.

Word of the famous diners spread quickly and the restaurant was surrounded by camera-toting fans, media and paparazzi.

Giving a quick wave to the cameras, Beyonce was all smiles as the family emerged from Nervosa.

She later jetted out of Toronto bound for Chicago, where she performs Wednesday night. Her Mrs. Carter Show tour stops in Toronto on Sunday night and in Montreal on Monday.

Jay-Z is in Toronto to kick off the Legends of Summer Tour at the Rogers Centre on Wednesday night. His tour mate Justin Timberlake caused a fan frenzy on Tuesday at a Hudson’s Bay store.
