One person is dead and two are critically injured after a shooting in a Halifax neighbourhood on Canada Day.
Halifax Regional Police say they responded to reports of shots fired in 6300 block of Cork Street around 10:43 p.m. AT.
When officers arrived at the scene, police say they located a male victim with gunshot injuries outside of a home, a deceased adult man inside of a residence and an adult woman with injuries.
The injured man and woman were taken to hospital in life-threatening condition. They remain there at this time.
Police say they did not initially release that one person was found dead “as a result of the circumstances and the ongoing investigation.”
