One person is dead after a house fire in Arcola, Sask.

The Arcola Fire Department and Carlyle RCMP responded to a fire at a home just after 7 a.m. Wednesday.

RCMP said a 60-year-old man was found dead in the home. His name has not been released by police.

There is no word on the cause of the fire.

RCMP said they are investigating, but added there is no reason to believe the fire is suspicious at this time.

Arcola is roughly 185 kilometres southeast of Regina.
