GRAND COULEE – Farmers around Grand Coulee, Sask. banded together to douse a grass fire that threatened their fields Monday afternoon.

Grand Coulee’s fire chief Jim Pratt called it “an unusual blaze” that luckily happened in late spring while the fields are saturated.
