Winnipeg Jets recall goaltender Eric Comrie on emergency basis

The injury bug appears to have struck the Winnipeg Jets yet again.

The Jets announced Friday the team has recalled goalie Eric Comrie from their AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose on an emergency basis.

Jets net-minder Laurent Brossoit left Thursday’s 5-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights with a suspected lower-body injury.

In 45 games for the AHL’s Moose this season, Comrie has posted a 23-16-2 record with a 2.75 goals against average and .916 save percentage.

The Jets are off Friday. The earliest they will update Brossoit’s status will be at their pre-game skate before they take on the Nashville Predators on Saturday.

Winnipeg will clinch a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a regulation win, or an overtime loss Saturday.
