Police looking for Kia Optima in Vancouver hit-and-run that seriously injured 2 people

Vancouver police are calling on the driver in a hit-and-run to come forward after a collision in East Vancouver left two people with serious injuries.

It happened just after midnight Monday on Fraser Street near East 20th Avenue.

Police said the driver was travelling northbound on Fraser Street when they struck two pedestrians, then drove off.

The victims, a 25-year-old Surrey woman and 35-year-old Vancouver man, were both taken to hospital in serious condition.

The woman has since been released, but the man remains in hospital.

Police are now looking for grey or sliver 2014 or 2015 Kia Optima hybrid electric car with front-end damage that may include a cracked headlight lens on the passenger side.

Anyone with information, including body shop employees, is asked to contact Vancouver police.
