A man who recently served six months in prison for breaking into Taylor Swift‘s New York City apartment has been arrested yet again after breaking into the pop star’s home once more.
Roger Alvarado, 23, reportedly climbed a ladder and smashed a glass door in order to enter into the Wildest Dreams singer’s home. According to The Associated Press, he is now facing charges of stalking and burglary.
Fortunately for Swift, once again, she was not home at the time of the break-in. Although no specific details were given regarding Alvarado’s arrest, the alleged crime was reported at around 2:30 a.m. ET on Thursday morning.
Only one day prior, Swift published an essay in Elle entitled ’30 Things I Learned Before Turning 30.’ In the piece, the singer ironically recounted her unfortunate history with stalkers and obsessive fans.
“My fear of violence has continued into my personal life,” she wrote after admitting she carries QuikClot at all times — a military-grade brand of bandages used specifically for “gunshots or stab wounds.”

Just last April, Alvarado, was found sleeping in Swift’s bed in her brand new Soho townhouse by local authorities. He also allegedly used her shower.
A neighbour reported the home invasion after seeing a ladder perched up against the 29-year-old singer’s home. Alvarado was found guilty of criminal contempt and attempted burglary. He was sentenced to nine months in prison but served six.
Following the end of his sentence recently, Alvarado was ordered to serve five years probation and he was required to complete a mental-health rehabilitation program too.
The incident in April isn’t the first report of a break-in attempt by the Floridian. The obsessed fan was charged last February with breaking through the front door of Swift’s US$18-million property in New York City with a shovel.

In another incident, a masked man, later identified as Julius Sandrock, was arrested on suspicion last year after hanging around Swift’s California home. He had a knife and rope in his car. As a result, a restraining order was filed against Sandrock and he was jailed for three days.
“Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every home address I’ve ever had online,” Swift wrote in Elle. “You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things.”
In her vow to stay positive, Swift put aside the negativity and threats in her life and revealed: “Every day, I try to remind myself of the good in the world, the love I’ve witnessed and the faith I have in humanity.
“We have to live bravely in order to truly feel alive,” she continued, “and that means not being ruled by our greatest fears.”
As of this writing, it’s unclear whether Alvarado will be sentenced to additional time in prison.
