Calgary police are looking to the public for help locating a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl while aboard a CTrain.
Police said the assault happened on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018 on a northbound train that had just departed from the Heritage LRT Station.
The suspect sat next to a teenage girl and began speaking with her before he “touched her inappropriately,” the Calgary Police Service (CPS) said in a Friday news release.
The victim told the suspect to leave, and he exited the train at the Victoria Park LRT Station at about 2:45 p.m. He then boarded another northbound train at the 4 Street LRT Station.
Police describe the suspect as being approximately 40 years old with dark brown hair and a heavy build. He was clean-shaven and last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black winter jacket, dark pants and a black Adidas backpack.
Police said the suspect’s CTrain journey began at the Somerset–Bridlewood LRT station at around 2:20 p.m., but he changed cars when the train stopped at both the Fish Creek Station and Heritage Station.
