‘The Notebook’ fans left furious after Netflix U.K. changes movie’s ending

Fans of The Notebook were left furious after finding out Netflix U.K. had changed the ending to the much-loved movie.

The 2004 flick tells the love story of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams’ characters Noah and Allie. The last scene then shows the pair die in each other’s arms after Allie loses her battle with dementia, with Noah getting into bed with her to share their last breath together.

Despite the heartbreaking moment being one of the most famous scenes of the movie, Netflix U.K. cut it to replace the final shot with one of birds flying over a lake.

Viewers wasted no time in taking to Twitter to voice their frustration, with many telling the streaming company to give them back the ending immediately.
