Toronto police have arrested two men in connection to the city’s 93rd homicide of 2018.
On the evening of Dec. 12, 2018, emergency crews were called to Islington Avenue and St. Andrews Boulevard for reports of a collision.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a man with apparent gunshot wounds inside a vehicle that had travelled off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
Paramedics attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead on scene, police said.

Police later identified the victim as 29-year-old Jonathan Gayle-West of Oshawa, an employee with Canadian sports network, TSN. Gayle-West worked on programs such as Jay & Dan, BarDown and TSN 1050.
On Wednesday, Feb. 20, police said they arrested two suspects, identified as Samir Adem, 18, and Salman Ahmed, 18, both of Toronto.
Both men were charged with second-degree murder.
They appeared in court on Thursday.
