A 38-year-old woman is facing charges after she allegedly broke into a home and bit a police member upon their arrival to the scene.
Halifax District RCMP say they were called to an unwanted person call at a home on St. Margaret’s Bay Road in Hubley, N.S., on Tuesday at around 9 a.m.

Police believe the suspect had broken the window of a door to the home.
When RCMP members arrived, the woman was getting into the passenger side of a vehicle parked just outside the home.
Police say the suspect resisted arrest and bit a police member’s hand in the process.

The unnamed suspect was released on conditions and is facing charges of assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest and mischief.
She is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court on March 26.
