RCMP in Nova Scotia say four suspects are facing attempted murder charges after a man was shot in Barrington Passage.
Police were called around 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 13, to several complaints of shots being fired in the area of Scotts Mill Road.
Officers found a man had suffered a minor gunshot wound and “other non-life-threatening injuries.”
The victim was treated in hospital and has since been released.
RCMP say there were a number of suspects in the incident, and they obtained a warrant to enter one suspect’s home on the afternoon of Feb. 14.
Barrington RCMP, along with the RCMP Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services and the Forensic Identification Unit, took part in the execution of the warrant.
Four people were arrested and remain in custody. Police say they are facing charges of attempted murder, plus several additional charges.
RCMP also note that the victim and suspects know each other and that this was not a random act.
