A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Oro-Medonte, police say.
Orillia OPP officers found a 34-year-old man with life-threatening injuries inside a residence on Line 10 North on Wednesday just after 11:30 a.m.
Officers say he was transported to a hospital in Toronto where he remains in critical condition.
Police say Peter Vanderveen, 69, from Oro-Medonte was arrested and charged with attempted murder.

According to police, the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
