RCMP in the Antigonish, N.S., area are investigating two reports of a man allegedly masturbating in public, and believe there may be other incidents that haven’t been reported to police yet.
RCMP first responded on Jan. 25 to a report of a man masturbating in his vehicle in the parking lot of a hardware store on Church Street. The suspect was described as a white man, and was driving a light blue or grey newer-model Toyota Tundra pickup truck. The truck had a canopy on the back and two hunting decals depicting deer.
The vehicle was last seen travelling west on Highway 4.
RCMP received another report the next day about an incident that happened on Jan. 18. The man in that incident was allegedly driving a similar truck and had pulled into a parking spot near the complainant.
The woman, who was returning to her vehicle after leaving a department store on Market Street, told police the suspect was masturbating in plain view of her.
“The suspect in both cases is believed to be the same person, but police need more information about him in order to proceed,” RCMP said in a news release.
“The RCMP believes there may have been other incidents, but due to their nature, they have not been reported to police.”
Anyone with information, or who could be a victim, is asked to call RCMP at (902) 863-6500.
