Police have arrested a man after a tense standoff with an armed suspect at a Burlington apartment building.
Officers were called to Glenwood School Drive, near the QEW and Guelph Line, around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday for reports of an armed man who was agitated and uttering threats.
Police say the 32-year-old man had barricaded by himself inside his apartment unit and negotiators were called in to help resolve the matter peacefully.
As a safety precaution, neighbouring tenants were asked to remain inside their units throughout the ordeal.
