Leeds OPP link reported vehicle thefts with cottage break-in investigation

Officers with the Leeds OPP detachment are asking the public for information about a suspect they say was involved with vehicle thefts relating to a local break and enter.

On Jan. 26, police say they found a pickup truck on County Road 32 that was originally reported stolen from Lasalle, Ont.

OPP believe the person who stole the truck was also involved in a break-in at a cottage on Road 12 in Rideau Lakes. Tools and electronics were allegedly stolen.

Police say the person left the truck stolen from Lasalle and took a second pickup truck from a business on Berryton Road.

OPP are asking anyone with information to call Leeds County OPP at 1-888-310-1122, the Brockville Detachment at 613-345-1790 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
