Montreal police are investigating after an 18-year-old man was shot Monday afternoon in Montreal North.
A 911 call reporting the shooting was made at 4:50 p.m.

Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant said the teen was shot to the lower body.
He was transported to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Brabant said a perimetre has been established in the parking lot of a grocery store at the intersection of Fleury Street and St-Michel Boulevard.
Investigators are at the scene and are trying to piece together the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

Brabant said the victim was uncooperative.
A canine unit was also dispatched to assist in the investigation.
Fleury Street is closed in both directions between Lausanne Avenue and St-Michel Boulevard for an undetermined period.
