Man dead after shooting on Hamilton’s west mountain: police

Hamilton police say a 31-year-old man is dead after a shooting on the city’s west mountain.

Officers and paramedics were called to a property on Clifton Downs Road, near Upper Paradise Road and Mohawk Road West, at around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday.

When they arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead on scene.

Police identified the victim Friday morning as Marko (Mark) Bakir of Hamilton.
