Hamilton police are investigating a robbery at a local Tim Hortons.

Police say around 5 a.m. Tuesday, two men went to the Timmies on Upper Gage Avenue.

One of the men demanded money from staff, while the other man stayed outside, and they both fled the scene on foot.

The suspects are described as around 25-30 years of age and between five-feet-two-inches and five-feet-seven-inches tall.

One suspect had a thin build and light-coloured facial hair. He wore a blue and white Blue Jays baseball cap, light grey T-shirt with writing “be the green guy” on the back, long black shorts with black and white running-style shoes, and a blue/grey towel partially covering his face.

The other suspect was heavier set, with a brown goatee, black T-shirt and black shorts with a white stripe down each leg, black running-style shoes and was smoking a cigarette.
