Crash in western N.B. claims life of 24-year-old woman, man in critical condition

A 24-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in western New Brunswick last week.

New Brunswick RCMP say the crash on July 25 happened along Highway 109 in Three Brooks, N.B., about 35 kilometres outside Grand Falls.

Police believe the SUV the woman was travelling in left the road and crashed into two telephone poles.

The woman from Oakland, N.B., died from her injuries on Tuesday, according to police, and a 32-year-old man from Plaster Rock, N.B., remains in hospital in critical condition.

Police are still investigating the crash and are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen a green GMC Yukon between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on the night of the crash, travelling from Perth-Andover to Three Brooks.
