Driver going double the speed limit on Broadway Bridge had infant passenger

Police say a motorist was clocked going twice the speed limit on Saskatoon’s Broadway Bridge this past weekend. Viewer Supplied

The Saskatoon Police Service’s traffic unit said via Twitter they clocked a driver going twice the speed limit on the Broadway Bridge.

An infant was in the vehicle’s backseat at the time, according to the tweet.

A man was reportedly caught travelling at 101 kilometres per hour on July 29 by a member of the unit.

The speed limit on the bridge is 50 km/h.

Police said the driver’s fine was $809 and the vehicle was impounded.
