Saskatoon man stabbed in attempted bicycle theft

Saskatoon police believe a 36-year-old man who came to St. Paul’s Hospital suffering a stab wound to the back was the victim of an attempted robbery.

According to police, the incident took place near 20th Street and Avenue L, where an unidentified suspect or suspects tried to steal the man’s bike. The incident took place just before midnight on July 27.

The 36-year-old refused to surrender his bike, and reportedly stabbed in the back. There is no suspect information available.

The victim is listed in stable condition, and the investigation continues.
