Halifax Regional Police have charged a man in relation to a weekend incident where a projectile struck a bus and injured a passenger.

Police and firefighters responded to the 0-50 block of Bedford Highway on Saturday, July 14, just after 1:15 p.m. According to police, a Halifax Transit bus had pulled over because the driver noticed a fire and wanted to put it out.

“It was along the Bedford Highway, just off the side of the road,” said Const. John McLeod.

While the bus was stopped, a projectile struck the bus and a 23-year-old female passenger was injured. She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
