Forward Ryan Strome has a new two-year contract with the Edmonton Oilers that will keep him with the team through the 2019-20 season.
The two-year extension carries an average annual value of $3.1 million.
Strome, 24, was acquired from the New York Islanders for Jordan Eberle during the 2017 off-season.
In his debut season with the Oilers, Strome appeared in all 82 games, posting 13 goals and 34 points.
The versatile forward spent time on the wing and at centre last season.
Strome joins Drake Caggiula, and Matthew Benning as RFA’s that the Oilers have re-signed this off-season. Darnell Nurse is the lone RFA remaining for Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli to sign.
