The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are entering their bye week on a sour note after losing 18-13 in Saskatchewan Thursday night.

Roughriders running back Marcus Thigpen ran for a game-winning 34-yard touchdown with one minute 29 seconds left to play, dropping the Ticats to 2-2.  The Riders are also 2-2.

Jeremiah Masoli recorded his ninth consecutive 300-yard passing game, finishing with 333, to tie the CFL record held by Sam Etcheverry (1956) and Kent Austin (1991).

Masoli also led Hamilton with 60 rushing yards on five carries, but he threw an interception and fumbled, which the Roughriders turned into nine points.

Roughriders defensive end Charleston Hughes forced Masoli to fumble the ball with just over two minutes to play in the first half and then returned the ball for a 65-yard TD that gave Saskatchewan a 6-4 lead.

Masoli’s interception came with about 11 minutes remaining in the game when Tony Antigha hauled in the errant pass at the Hamilton 42 yard line.  The turnover led to a 40-yard field goal by Riders kicker Brett Lauther.
