RCMP investigating northern Alberta shooting

A woman was sent to hospital after being shot in a small northwestern Alberta community on Monday afternoon.

Beaverlodge RCMP said officers were called to a home in the Hamlet of Valhalla, where a woman was found with a gunshot wound to one of her legs.

Police said three men approached the home and shots were fired into it.

The suspects left the scene in two white pickups, police said.

The woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
