A driver going more than twice the posted speed limit in our city has a hefty fine to pay.
Winnipeg police posted a photo of a ticket handed out this week featuring a fine of $1163.00.
The driver had been clocked at 165 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone on Kenaston Boulevard near Waverley Street.

Beside the ticket, police posted a photo of a plane, with the caption, “That kind of speed is what this plane takes off at! Just slow down”.
A serious offense notice was also issued, which will trigger a review of the driver’s status.
