Two assaults were among the 233 calls Prince Albert police said they responded to over the weekend.
One assault happened just after 6 p.m. Sunday in the 1500-block of 9 Avenue West.
A man told police while he was driving in the West Hill neighbourhood, a van was driven aggressively close behind him with the driver honking the horn.
He said the driver followed him into the parking lot at Parkland Hall, got out of the van and started hitting him in the face.
A bystander intervened with a shovel and the driver fled.
The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics as a precautionary measure.
Witnesses were able to give police the license plate number of the van which which was tracked to a home in the 1500-block of 12 Street West.
A 41-year-old man was arrested and is now facing three assault-related charges.
The second assault happened earlier the same day.
A man said his car alarm woke him up just before 6:30 a.m. and when he looked outside, he saw someone in his vehicle.
He told officers he was threatened with a knife when he went outside to confront the alleged thief.
The suspect then fled on foot, but the victim followed him until police arrived.
An 18-year-old man was arrested and police said a search turned up sunglasses and a speaker allegedly stolen from the vehicle.
Police said the suspect admitted to dropping the knife in an alley.
He is charged with assault and theft.
Both are scheduled to appear Monday in Prince Albert provincial court.
They were among the 32 people arrested during what police say was a busy weekend.
The top-three calls for service were for intoxicated people, disturbances, and evictions.
