London Police have laid charges in relation to gun shots in an east-end neighbourhood earlier this week.
Police were called to the area of Marconi Boulevard and Noel Avenue around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday morning after reports of gun shots.
Constable JP Loberto says that when police arrived, they found evidence of shots fired in the area.
“Further investigation revealed that an altercation took place in the area, during which time a firearm was discharged,” Loberto said.
A “projectile from the firearm struct a nearby residence, causing damage.”
Loberto says no injuries were reported and they haven’t been unable to locate the firearm.
A 29-year-old London man is charged with careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm, possession of a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm while prohibited, and recklessly discharging a firearm to the life or safety of another person.
Loberto said London police made the arrest with the assistance of the provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) unit Wednesday.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
