Chamber president Darla Lindbjerg said they are thrilled to have Obama come to the city to speak about her journey and how she used her position with policy decisions.
“She’s done a lot for her country, but also she’s been an inspiration for those around the world,” Lindbjerg told Global News.
“To have her coming to Saskatoon and speaking about her journey and talking about what’s next is very exciting.”
Obama led several initiatives during that time including Lets Move, which addressed childhood obesity and Joining Forces, which supported veterans, service members, and their families.
Chamber members can purchase tickets starting at 10 a.m. CT Wednesday and tickets for the general public go on sale Friday starting at 10 a.m.
