At a press conference on Thursday, Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem unveiled Canada’s new vertical $20 banknote, the first Canadian bill to feature King Charles III. Macklem spoke about the historic significance of the new design and its advanced anti-counterfeiting features, saying, “Bank note security is critical for Canadian consumers and businesses and for the integrity of our currency system.”
