A Toronto high school teacher arrested two months ago following a child exploitation investigation is facing 10 new charges after two more victims have come forward.
Toronto police said Gerard McGilly, 46, was re-arrested Nov. 30 in connection to two incidents involving two separate girls he allegedly had inappropriate contact with over social media.
Police said the accused contacted one of the girls through social media between September 2015 and June 2017 with the username “thepirateubuddha” and on several occasions engaged in sexual contact with her.
Investigators said McGilly also made inappropriate contact with another girl on May 2017.

The accused was originally arrested in October following a week-long investigation by the police sex crimes and child exploitation unit.
He was then charged with telecommunication with a person under 18, invite sexual exploitation of a young person, transmit sexually explicit material to a young person, make child porn, possess child porn and access child porn.
McGilly faces 10 new charges including two counts of luring a child, attempt sexual exploitation, sexual exploitation, two counts of make child pornography, distribute child pornography, possession child pornography, accessing child pornography and make sexual exploitation material available to a child.

Police are concerned there may be more victims.
“We had some contact us at the office and stated they weren’t ready to come forward at this time,” Det. Sgt. Paul Krawczyk told reporters at a press conference Monday morning.

“Judging by those phone calls and the interactions we’ve had, we believe there are more and that’s why if there are more, we’re urging them to please come forward.”
McGilly was employed as a high school teacher at Bishop Allen Academy in Toronto and known to students as Mr. McGilly.

Police said the suspect also used the following monikers online; thepoppaship, poppaship, mrmcteacher, G-Note/G Note, massive reggae/massive reggae.
McGilly was also previously employed at the Bishop Morrocco/Thomas Merto Catholic Secondary School in Toronto (2007-2008), the Dufferin-Peel Catholic district School Board with St Francis Xavier Secondary School in Mississauga (1995-2000).
In addition to working in schools, the accused has also been employed as an administrative assistant at the community outreach centre in Toronto, St. Francis Table.
